ICC selected T-20 WC Team of the Tournament: 6 players from India including Rohit, Pandya and Bumrah included

ICC has announced the Team of the Tournament for T-20 World Cup 2024. Six players of the title-winning Indian team have been included in this team by the ICC. Star batsman Virat Kohli has not got a place in this team. At the same time, no player from the runner-up South Africa team could make it to the top 11. Enrique Nortya has been selected as the 12th player.

Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma gave Team India a great start with his explosive batting in this World Cup. The Indian captain was the second top scorer of the tournament. Against Australia, he played an explosive innings of 92 runs in 41 balls.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz

Rahmanullah Gurbaz made a brilliant opening for Afghanistan along with Ibrahim Zadran. Both of them scored 446 runs in the tournament as opening partners. Gurbaz played brilliant innings against Uganda (76), New Zealand (80), Australia (60) and Bangladesh (43). He was the top scorer of the tournament with 281 runs.

Nicholas Pooran

Nicholas Pooran was the highest run scorer for West Indies in the tournament. Pooran led the team to a spectacular victory with his 98-run innings against Afghanistan. This was also the highest score by any player in the tournament.

Suryakumar Yadav

Surya scored two half-centuries in the tournament and played an important innings of 47 runs in the semi-final against England. He played an important role in India's title win by taking the best catch of the tournament in the final. It was David Miller's catch on the first ball of the last over that cost South Africa the victory.

Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya performed brilliantly with the bat in the lower order. He also gave success with the ball when the team needed him. He played an important role in Team India's victory by dismissing Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller in the final.

Axar Patel

Axar performed significantly with the bat and also took one of the best catches of the tournament. This catch was of Australia captain Mitchell Marsh. He scored a brilliant 47 in the final, helping Virat Kohli to stay and play the role of anchor. In the semi-finals, he took 3 wickets for 23 runs against England and was the Player of the Match.

Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan led the Afghanistan team brilliantly. He made history by taking his team to the semi-finals with a brilliant performance with the ball. Rashid took 14 wickets in the tournament, bowling at a brilliant economy rate of 6.17.

Marcus Stoinis

Marcus Stoinis was Australia X-factor player in the T20 World Cup. He played brilliant innings against Oman and Scotland.

Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah was named Player of the Tournament. Bumrah took 15 wickets in the T20 World Cup 2024. His economy rate was 4.17, which is the best by any bowler in any edition of the T20 World Cup.

Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh was the joint highest wicket-taker in the tournament with Fazalhaq Farooqi with 17 wickets in eight matches. Arshdeep played a key role in India's victory in the final. He took the big wicket of Quinton de Kock at a crucial time in the match and then bowled a brilliant 19th over in which only four runs were conceded.

Fazalhaq Farooqi

Faroqi, the joint highest wicket-taker in the tournament, played a key role in Afghanistan maiden World Cup semi-final. His 17 wickets came at an impressive economy rate of 6.31 and the left-arm pacer put Afghanistan in a strong position by giving early blows to the opposition teams in many matches. He took 5/9 against Uganda in the tournament. This was his best spell.
