IND-SA first test: Shreyas was out in the very first over of session 2, Rabada bowled

Shreyas Iyer became the victim of Kagiso Rabada after scoring 31 runs.

The first match of the Test series between India and South Africa is being played in Centurion. South African captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and chose to bowl first at the SuperSport Park ground.

In Session-2, India has scored 98 runs at the loss of 4 wickets after 28 overs. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are at the crease.

Shreyas Iyer was out in the very first over after the lunch session, bowled by Kagiso Rabada. Shreyas scored 31 runs on 50 balls.

Session-1 Name of India

India got off to a bad start in the first Test, which was delayed by half an hour due to rain. The team lost 3 wickets within 24 runs. Captain Rohit returned to the pavilion after scoring only 5 runs, Yashasvi 17 and Shubman 2 runs. Nandre Berger took 2 wickets and Kagiso Rabada took one wicket.

After 3 wickets fell in the 12th over itself, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer took over the innings. After regaining control, both of them played shots openly on bad balls. Both of them took India's score beyond 50 runs and also made a fifty partnership among themselves.

After the end of session 1, India's score was 91 runs at the loss of 3 wickets. India scored at a run rate of 3.50 in 26 overs. India remained ahead of South Africa in session 1 due to scoring rate and recovery.

India's top order flop

India's Shubhman Gill 2 and Yashasvi Jaiswal were caught behind after scoring 17 runs, both of whom were sent to the pavilion by debutant Nandre Berger. Captain Rohit Sharma was out after scoring 5 runs, he was caught out by Kagiso Rabada.

Shreyas and Kohli have one life each

After losing 3 wickets for 24 runs, Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli took over India's innings. Both of them got one life each in the initial overs.

On the fourth ball of the 13th over, Shreyas played a shot towards point, here Marco Janson missed his catch. On the third ball of the 14th over, Virat played a shot towards square leg, here Tony De Georgi missed his catch.

Debutant Nandre Berger took 2 wickets.

Nandre Berger, who was debuting for South Africa, took 2 wickets in his very first spell. He came to bowl in place of Marco Yanson in the 8th over. In the very second over of the spell, he got Yashasvi Jaiswal caught behind. Yashasvi was out after scoring 17 runs.

In the 12th over of the first innings, Burger also got Shubman Gill caught behind. The very first ball of the over, Burger bowled a short pitch on the leg stump. Shubman went to defend, but the ball hit his gloves and went into the wicketkeeper's hand.

Debutant Nandre Berger took 2 wickets in his very first spell. He got Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill caught behind.

Rohit got out while playing pull on short ball

Captain Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal came to open for India. Both of them batted carefully for the first 4 overs. Kagiso Rabada bowled the last ball of the 5th over with a short pitch, Rohit was surprised by the bouncer and played a pull shot. The ball did not hit his bat properly and he was caught at long leg position. Rohit scored 5 runs on 14 balls.
