IND v SA 2025: Nitish Reddy Out From The First Test Against SA In Kolkata

Nitish Kumar Reddy will be momentarily removed from the senior squad as part of a tactical change made by India's management before the first Test of the series against South Africa. The all-rounder will not be playing in India's opening Test match, which is set to start on November 14 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Reddy will now play for India A in the upcoming one-day series against South Africa, according to a statement from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). A Rajkot cricket team from November 13–19.

• There will be fewer chances for a multi-role option like Reddy because the Indian management has decided on their starting lineup for the first Test, which reportedly consists of Rishabh Pant as wicketkeeper and Dhruv Jurel as the specialist batter.

• Reddy is anticipated to rejoin the senior squad for the second Test in Guwahati on November 22, according to the BCCI, which has underlined that this is a temporary measure.
