India has lost only one match to Bangladesh
14 matches were played between India and Bangladesh in T20 International. India won 13 and Bangladesh won only one. This victory was achieved by the team in 2019 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. There were 4 matches between the two in India, India won 3 and Bangladesh won one.
Arshdeep Singh top wicket taker from India in 2024
India achieved great success in the form of T20 World Cup in 2024. Rohit Sharma scored the most runs for the team this year, but he has said goodbye to this format. After him, Shivam Dubey was the top scorer, but he also got injured and was out of the series. After him, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 293 runs.
Among the bowlers, Arshdeep Singh is the top wicket taker of the team. He has 24 wickets in 12 matches. He also strengthened India's bowling attack in the T20 World Cup. He can get the support of Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana.
Hridoy top scorer from Bangladesh
Tauhid Hridoy scored the most 416 runs for Bangladesh in 2024. He also played many useful innings for Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup. Leg spinner Rishad Hussain is the top wicket taker of the team this year. He has 26 wickets in just 18 matches.
Harshit and Mayank can debut
Fast bowlers Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana can make their debut from India in the first T20 against Bangladesh. Both impressed in the last IPL season. Mayank took 7 wickets in just 4 matches while bowling at a speed of more than 150 KMPH. At the same time, Harshit took 19 wickets in 13 matches while playing for champion Kolkata.
Shivam Dubey injured in the back
Even before the start of the series, India's important all-rounder Shivam Dubey got injured and was out of the series. He suffered a back injury. In his place, batsman Tilak Verma was included in the squad. He joined the team this morning.
Big challenges for India in the T20 series
Playing a 3 T20 series against Bangladesh in the middle of a long Test season was termed as bad by many experts. Because India has to play the ODI Champions Trophy next year, the team is focusing on playing T20 instead of ODIs. But India will get answers to many big questions from this series.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's place is vacant after their retirement. Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag and Sanju Samson will claim for these 2 spots in the current series.
To fill the spot of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, an all-rounder will have to fit in Team India. Along with batting and bowling, that player will also have to maintain the standards of fielding like Jadeja. Washington Sundar and Nitish Reddy will claim for the all-rounder position.
Rishabh Pant was given preference for the wicketkeeper spot in the World Cup. He has been rested for the time being, but after his poor performance in the World Cup, his place cannot be considered certain. In such a situation, both Samson and Jitesh can present a strong claim for the wicketkeeper spot.
2 young pacers got a chance in the form of Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana. Both play domestic cricket from Delhi and have impressed in the last season of IPL. While Mayank impresses with his pace, Harshit has the ability of variation and batting. Both also have the talent to play for India for a long time.
Pitch Report
For the first time, an international match will be held at Gwalior's Madhavrao Scindia Stadium. Domestic cricket matches have not been played here either, so it is difficult to say how the pitch will behave. Madhya Pradesh Premier League matches were held here in June. High scoring matches were seen here, if the pitch remains like this then the team winning the toss may choose to bowl first.
Weather Condition
There is only 4% chance of rain in Gwalior on Sunday, the sun will remain throughout the day, so there is no possibility of rain. The temperature will remain between 24 to 34 degrees Celsius.
