India beat England by 142 runs in the third ODI: won the series 3-0

England captain Jos Buttler won 3 tosses in the ODI series, but the team could not win a single match.
India defeated England by a huge margin of 142 runs in the third ODI. With this, the team clean swept the ODI series 3-0. England chose to bowl on Wednesday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India scored 356 runs. In response, the English team was all out after scoring 214 runs in 34.2 overs.
Indian opener Shubman Gill scored a century. Shreyas Iyer scored 78, Virat Kohli scored 52 and KL Rahul scored 40 runs. Harshit Rana, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh got 2-2 wickets each. Not a single batsman from England could score a fifty, Adil Rashid took 4 wickets.
Player of the Match Shubman Gill
Team India, who came to bat first after losing the toss, lost the first wicket in the second over itself. Shubman scored a century from here. He shared a partnership of 116 runs with Virat Kohli and 104 runs with Shreyas Iyer. Shubman scored 112 runs and laid the foundation for a big score.
Shubman scored 50 plus scores in all three ODIs of the series. He scored 87 in Nagpur, 60 in Cuttack and 112 in Ahmedabad. For this performance, he was selected Player of the Match and Player of the Series.

- Harshit Rana: After giving 24 runs in the first 2 overs, Harshit made a comeback in the second spell. He took 2 wickets for just 7 runs in the next 3 overs.
- Shreyas Iyer: After losing 2 wickets for 122 runs, Shreyas took charge of the team. He shared a century partnership with Shubman, then played an innings of 78 runs and took the score beyond 250.
