The Indian team scored 232 runs by hitting 22 sixes and 25 fours in the innings, which is the highest number of runs scored in an innings with the help of boundaries. The team scored 297 runs by losing 6 wickets in 20 overs, which was the highest T20 score among test playing teams. This is also India's highest T20 score.

Sanju Samson scored a century in 40 balls, he became the first Indian wicketkeeper to score a century in T20. This was also the second fastest century for India. India also scored its best score in the powerplay.
