For the first time in 1882, a Test match ended in 2 days. This match was played between Australia and England in 1882 at The Oval (London). 9 Test matches were completed in 2 days in the 19th century (1801-1900). 8 Tests of the 20th century (1901-2000) and 8 Tests of the 21st century (2001 to present) have ended.

On one hand, in the last 3 years there have been 4 Tests whose results were declared in 2 days, on the other hand, 54 years passed between March 1946 and August 2000 when not a single Test match was finished in 2 days.

India's success rate is 100%

The success rate of the Indian team in test matches ending in 2 days has been 100%. In June 2018, the Test match played between India and Afghanistan in Bengaluru ended in 2 days. This was the first Test in Afghanistan's cricket history. At the same time, this was the first test in the history of Indian cricket which ended in two days.

After this, in February 2021, the day-night test match played between India and England in Ahmedabad ended in 2 days. This was India's second Test to give a result in just two days. Team India had won in this also. Now India has defeated South Africa in 2 days.
