IPL 2023: Sunil Narine has proved that he is one of the top players in the KKR team

Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Sunil Narine bowled seven overs ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and took seven wickets without conceding a single run. With this impressive spell, Narine has created tension among other IPL franchises preparing for the tournament. Season after season, Sunil Narine has proved that he is one of the top players in the KKR Team.

However, in IPL 2022, Narine had a poor season as he managed just nine wickets. In such a situation, KKR will start its campaign against Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings on 1 April. However, due to a shoulder injury, Iyer is expected to miss a few matches at the beginning of the IPL.

According to reports, experienced player Rinku Singh may lead the Kolkata franchise in the absence of Shreyas Iyer. Along with Rinku, Narine, and Andre Russell could also potentially be roped in for the captaincy role of Kolkata Knight Riders. Big names like Shakib Al Hasan and Tim Southee are also expected to be roped in for the leadership role of KKR during Iyer's absence.

KKR recently shared a video of Rinku Singh warming up in the nets which went viral after being posted. "This shot will sweep you off your feet!". Later, a fan commented, "Game changer, Rinku," to which KKR replied saying, "Our skipper," in the comment section.
