Indians Premier League (IPL) 2025 will start from tomorrow(22 March), the first match will be played between Kolkata Knight Rider and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Garden in Kolkata. This IPL will decide who will become the next Indian Openers for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka. Rohit Sharma retired from T20I cricket after winning the ICC T20WC 2024 in West Indies.

Abhishek Sharma
Left-handed batting all-rounder Abhishek Sharma has recently become a serious candidate for India's starting position in T20 internationals, particularly with the T20 World Cup 2026 approaching.
Current Performs:
India won the T20I Series against England in January and February of 2025 thanks to an outstanding performance from Sharma, especially in the fifth T20I when he scored a scorching 135 runs off just 54 balls.
T20I Series Against Zimbabwe (December 2024): He added to his status as an explosive opener by showcasing his consistency with a century off 46 balls.
