Legendary Indian batsman Virat Kohli has started preparing for a return to international cricket after 5 months. He is training under Gujarat Titans assistant coach Naeem Amin in London. Kohli will play 3 ODI series matches against Australia in October.
The 36-year-old Indian batsman posted a photo of his practice on Instagram story on Friday, in which he is seen with Naeem Amin. Naeem also has Kohli's bat in his hand. Virat wrote- 'Thank you brother for helping in preparation. It is always nice to see you.
Virat Kohli has not played international cricket since March 9, 2025. He last played in the final of the Champions Trophy against New Zealand. The Indian team won that match by 4 wickets.
Kohli will be seen playing international cricket in October
Virat Kohli will be seen playing international cricket in the month of October. He will take part in the 3 ODI series against Australia. Team India will play this series between 19 and 25 October. 5 T20 matches will also be played on this tour, but Virat Kohli will not be a part of the T20 matches.
Virat has retired from T20 and Test cricket
Virat Kohli has retired from international T20 and Test cricket. He retired from Test cricket on 12 May. Earlier, he said goodbye to T20 International after winning the T20 World Cup on 29 June 2024.
