On 12 February, Australian leg spin Matthew Kuhnemann was suspected for his bowling actions against 2 test matches in Galle against Sri Lanks.
Matthew Kuhremann’s was took 16 wicket in the 2 test matches against Sri Lanka in Galle. He was the highest wicket taken for 2 matches in the test series. His bowling help Australia to won 2 test matches in Galle and win series with sweep 2-0 against Sri Lanka.
Analyze His Bowling Action Legal Or Not
Kuhnemann will undergo independent testing for 3 weeks to check if his bowling action is legal or not for the future. A biomechanist wil check bowling action and give a report to ICC.
ICC rules said, a bowler is allowed a maximum of 15 degrees of flex in their bowling arm.
Will He Play International Matches?
After the report comes, the ICC decides whether he will play international or not. Recently he will not be able to play any international matches in future till a clean report not comes. Otherside, he is allowed to play domestic cricket.
CA Statement On Kuhnemann
Cricket Australia said about the Kuhnemann suspect. The said “The Australian team was notified of the match officials' referral following the second Test against Sri Lanka in Galle and will support Matt through the process of clearing this matter”.
