Men’s T20I WC 2026: India Will Face Pakistan On February 15 In Colombo

The greatest rivalry in cricket has returned. The 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup group stage match between India and Pakistan is set for February 15 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
India and Sri Lanka will co-host the tournament, which is scheduled to take place from February 7 to March 8, 2026. These countries are grouped with Namibia, the Netherlands, and the United States.

All of Pakistan's group games will be placed in Sri Lanka, either in Kandy or Colombo.
Tournament Format
The Mens T20 WC 2026 20 teams will be split into groups, and the top two from each group will advance to a "Super Eight" round. This is the tournament's format, which is unchanged from past editions. After that, two groups of four teams each will compete for a position in the semifinals, which will precede the final match.
Venues Shotlist And Matches
The ICC has decided to hold the 2026 men's T20 World Cup in India at Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai. Sri Lanka will also co-host the event. The ICC has reportedly shortlisted two locations in Colombo and Kandy as the three Sri Lankan venues.
