Champions Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 14 runs in match no. 25th of the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Arjun Tendulkar defended 20 runs in the last over of the catch. Captain Aiden Markram won the toss and chose to bowl first against Rohit Sharma's MI. In reply, MI scored a total of 192 runs after 20 overs. The expected high-intensity contest will take place on Tuesday (April 18) at the iconic Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Both teams started IPL 2023 with losses in their respective games. Interestingly, both the teams facing each other today have defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in their previous encounters.
Piyush Chawla is in scintillating form at the moment, he could spell trouble for SRH batsmen Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi who prefer to play against spin. Former Mumbai Indians spinner Mayank Markande is also likely to make an impact in this contest.
