New Zealand team announced for the series against Pakistan: Henry, Williamson, Ferguson and Conway return; The first T-20 will be played on January 12.

The New Zealand team has been announced for the five-match T-20 series against Pakistan. Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson, Kane Williamson and Devon Conway have returned to the team.

Henry and Ferguson have recovered from their respective injuries, while Kane Williamson and Devon Conway have also returned after the break. Rachin Ravindra, who was out of the T20 team since August last year, has also returned.

The first match of the five-match T20 series between New Zealand and Pakistan will be played in Auckland on January 12.

Henry and Ferguson were injured during the World Cup

Henry suffered the injury during the ODI World Cup against South Africa in Pune. Since then he was out of the team. Henry is included in the team for all five T20 matches. Whereas, Ferguson was also injured during the World Cup, he has been included in the squad for the last three T20s.

Williamson will not play in the third match

Williamson, the regular captain of the New Zealand team, was rested in the recently concluded ODI and T-20 series against Bangladesh. He has made a comeback against Pakistan. Williamson will not play the third match, in his place uncapped batsman Josh Clarkson has got a chance in the team as cover. Williamson will captain the team in four matches. In his absence, Mitchell Santner will take command of the team in the third match.
