Pakistan defeated India in Under-19 Asia Cup: won by 8 wickets; Azan Awais century, Zeeshan took 4 wickets

Team India faced its first defeat in the Under-19 Asia Cup. The team was defeated by Pakistan by 8 wickets. Batting first in Dubai on Sunday, India scored 259 runs for 9 wickets. Pakistan achieved the target by losing only 2 wickets in 47 overs.

Azan Awais from Pakistan played an unbeaten inning of 105 runs. Whereas captain Saad Baig and Shahzaib Khan scored fifties. Before him, Mohammad Zeeshan had taken 4 wickets for just 46 runs.

Pakistan won the toss and chose to field at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. Team India, who came to bat first, had a bad start, opener Arshin Kulkarni was out after scoring 24 runs and Rudra Patel was out after scoring only 1 run. The team lost 2 wickets on the score of 46 runs.

Adarsh-Uday took over, and lost wickets in the middle overs

Fast bowler Mohammad Zeeshan from Pakistan took 4 wickets for 46 runs. He took 6 wickets in the first match against Nepal. Apart from Zeeshan, Aamir Hasan and Ubaid Shah got 2 successes each. Whereas Arafat Minhas got one wicket.

Pakistan is in first place and Nepal at fourth place.

To reach the semi-finals, India will have to win the last match against Nepal. Besides, we will also have to maintain a better run rate than Afghanistan. Both the semi-finals and final of the Asia Cup will be played on 15th and 17th December.
