Pat Cummins Is The Best Cricketer Of 2023, Virat Gets ICC Honor For The Seventh Time!

While Virat has been selected as the best cricketer of the year in ODI for the fourth time, he has received the ICC individual award for the seventh time. Earlier in ODI, he had achieved this feat in 2012, 2017 and 2018.

India's master batsman Virat Kohli has been chosen the best ODI cricketer of 2023 by the International Cricket Council (ICC) due to his excellent performance last year. Kohli has received this prestigious honor for the fourth time. The former India captain scored 1377 runs last year which included six centuries and eight half-centuries. The last year has been a memorable one for Kohli.
He scored 765 runs in 11 matches of the ODI World Cup and helped the team reach the final. He was declared the best cricketer of the tournament. During this period, he also broke another Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar's record of 49 centuries in ODIs. He scored three centuries in the tournament. Kohli scored runs at an average of 95.62 and a strike rate of 90.31 in the ODI World Cup. Now he has the highest number of 50 centuries in the world in ODIs.

Virat was also in the race for the Best Cricketer of the Year award, but Australia captain Pat Cummins left behind compatriot Travis Head and India's Virat and Ravindra Jadeja.

Took ten wickets against Pakistan in the Boxing Day Test. Took 17 wickets in 13 ODI matches.
