PSL 2025: PSL Remaining Matches Will Shift To UAE, Due To IND v PAK Tension
Updated - 9-MAY-2025 10:26 IST

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) 2025 has made a major announcement: the remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 matches will now take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This decision follows growing military tensions between India and Pakistan, which have caused players and tournament administrators to worry about their safefty.
The final eight matches, which were originally planned to be played in Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore, will now take place in the United Arab Emirates, according to confirmation from the PCB. It is anticipated that the updated schedule, complete with dates and locations, will be released soon.
Why PSL Shift To UAE?
The decision comes after an array of events, such as rumors of a drone dropping close to the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, that increased security concerns. The PCB prioritized the safety and mental health of both domestic and international league players as a result of this occurring and others.
PCB Statement On This Decision
Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the PCB, underlined the board's dedication to maintaining the tournament's continuation while protecting all participants. He said "As a responsible organization that has overcome adversities repeatedly, it was important for us to ensure the mental well-being of all players participating in the HBL PSL".
Pakistan’s crickets fans reactions on the decision
Pakistani supporters would not be able to watch the season's final games in their home grounds, even though the move guarantees the safety of the players and officials. Although the PCB has apologized for this result, it has reaffirmed that the choice was made with the interests of all parties in mind.
