Rain Still On! What if the CSK vs GT clash on Sunday gets washed out by rain?

 

The start of the IPL 2023 final between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans on Sunday was delayed due to heavy rain in Ahmedabad. The second Qualifier of the season was also interrupted by rain on Friday but spectators at the Narendra Modi Stadium saw the full game as Hardik Pandya's men clinched the title with a thrilling 62-run win over five-time champions Mumbai Indians.  As rain continues in Ahmedabad, the umpires are still hopeful of 5 overs of play for which the cut-off is 12:06 AM. However, umpire Rod Tucker said: "If it's raining by 11, we're in trouble." This is because it will take at least an hour for the ground staff to prepare the ground for the match. There is no clarity on the start timings for the all-important IPL 2023 final between MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings and Hardik Pandya's Gujarat Titans.

As the rain increased in intensity, accompanied by thunder and lightning, a large number of stand-filling fans were forced to seek cover and retreat into the stands.
