Ravichandran Ashwin has retired from international cricket. He played 287 matches in all three formats and took 765 wickets. Ashwin is India's second highest wicket-taker. Only Anil Kumble is ahead of him, who has taken 953 wickets.

Ashwin has 37 five-wicket hauls in Tests, which is the most by any Indian bowler. Kumble is followed by him. Kumble took five wickets in an innings 35 times in Tests. Overall, the record for taking the most five-wicket hauls in an innings is held by Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan. He did this 67 times. Ashwin is jointly at second place with Shane Warne.

Ashwin has taken the most wickets against England in his career. He played 53 matches against England in all three formats and took 150 wickets. Australia is at second place, against whom Ashwin has 146 wickets in 50 matches.
