Pakistan was penalized for playing at a slow over-rate against New Zealand in Karachi during the opening game of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. After Pakistan proved to be one over below the required rate, taking time allowances with it, the International Cricket Council (ICC) issued a penalty equal to 5% of the players&#39; match costs.
