India Won by 4 Wicket, India Seal The ODI Series By 2-0

On February 9, India’s ODI captain and opener batmen’s Rohit Sharma scored his 3nd ODI century in the 2nd ODI between India vs England in Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. His century helped India to beat England by 4 wickets and seal the 3 match ODI series by 2-0. He scored 119 in 90 balls with 12 (4s) and 7 (6s). 

Match Summary

England Power Start

England won the toss, decided to bat first, and scored a decent total of 304 runs. The innings' constants were Ben Duckett, who scored a strong 65 off 56 deliveries, and Joe Root, who scored 69 runs off 72 balls. 

While they got off to a good start, Indian bowlers kept up in the later overs, preventing England's middle order from taking full advantage. Ravindra Jadeja was the most impressive bowler for India, taking 3 wickets for 35 runs in his 10-over performance.

India Chase

India, who were chasing 305, got off to a great start thanks to Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill's opening partnership. Sharma achieved his second-fastest ODI century in just 76 balls because of his aggressive style. Gill gave helpful support with a skillfully written 60. India easily reached the mark, finishing at 308 for 6 in 44.3 overs, thanks to contributions from Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel, despite a few middle order difficulties.
