Sanju Samson Again Won The Hearts Of Fans

Sanju Samson may have been away from cricket action for a long time, but he does not stay away from the news. His fan following is tremendous across the world, and he also trends on social media. Samson had guaranteed to fulfill the boy's dream of meeting an Indian cricketer. Samson not only met the child but also enjoyed playing cricket with him. Samson joined the Rajasthan Royals camp ahead of IPL 2024. Rajasthan team will start its campaign against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24. Samson has not played competitive cricket since last month. Before that, he was playing for Kerala in the Ranji Trophy. He scored one half-century in five innings before Kerala was eliminated from the knockout rounds. Earlier, Samson had not opened his account in the only T20 played against Afghanistan. However, in December, he scored 108 runs in the third ODI against South Africa, which India won by 78 runs.

Samson is one of the 11 players included in Grade C of the BCCI's central contract list. He is getting a salary of Rs 1 crore annually. Samson has been a part of Team India's plans for a long time, yet his performance has not been consistent, and due to this, he has been dropped from the team several times. He was not included in the squad for both the 2022 T20 World Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup. The T20 World Cup is to be played this year, too, and the team is expected to be announced by May 1. Everything will depend on Samson's performance in IPL 2024.

Last season, the Rajasthan team missed a place in the playoffs and finished fifth. At the same time, in 2022 the team reached the final. Samson is confident of a better performance this year. He said, 'I have a different equation with everyone on the team. The relationship with Jos Buttler is like an elder brother; the same is the case with Ashwin. He treats Hetmyer like a friend.
