Smriti Mandhana Becomes 4th Woman to 10,000 Int’l Runs

On December 28, 2025, during the fourth Twenty20 International versus Sri Lanka Women in Thiruvananthapuram, India's batting mainstay Smriti Mandhana made history by becoming just the fourth woman in history to reach 10,000 runs in international cricket.

Mandhana achieved the milestone with a brilliant game in which he struck 80 runs off 48 balls, anchoring a huge opening stand with three towering sixes.

Fastest to the Mark Across Women’s Cricket

The fast pace at which Mandhana completed 10,000 runs is what makes her success even more remarkable. She became the fastest woman to ever reach the milestone in just 281 innings across forms, outpacing even the renowned Mithali Raj, who took 291 innings.

For Mandhana, 2025 has been a historic year. She finished as the highest run scorer in the format during India's winning Women's World Cup campaign earlier in the season, making history as the first woman to hit 1,000 ODI runs in a calendar year.
