SRH Won By 44 Runs: Ishan Kishan’s Maiden Century 106* In IPL

At the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on March 23, 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 44 runs in the second game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.

Choosing to bat first, SRH's innings featured a brilliant century from Ishan Kishan, their recent as well. With 11 fours and six flying sixes in an innings of 106 runs off just 47 balls, Kishan stayed undefeated. He set the stage for SRH's innings with his aggressive style, which helped them score a huge total. 

Travis Head played a vital knock to support Kishan, scoring 67 runs off 31 deliveries. Together they established a strong basis for SRH. Heinrich Klaasen contributed twenty-four runs while Nitish Kumar Reddy contributed thirty runs in a short period of time. The second-highest team total in IPL history, 286/6, was achieved by SRH thanks to their combined efforts, falling just one run shy of the record 287-3 they established against Royal Challengers Bangalore the previous season.

Sanju and Dhruv made hope with their powerful innings, but team score end in 242 in 20 overs

Early wickets dropped at regular intervals as RR's innings got off to a difficult start as they chased a difficult mark of 287 runs. But in an effort to maintain the chase, captain Sanju Samson led the innings with a strong 66 off 37 balls. 

Dhruv Jurel's amazing knock of 70 runs off 35 deliveries was RR's greatest performance. While RR's hopes were maintained by his aggressive batting, the growing necessary run rate proved to be an important challenge.
