CSK player - Sameer Rizvi

The defending champions CSK (Chennai Super Kings) splashed a whopping INR 8.4 crores on a power hitter from Meerut- Sameer Rizvi. CSK will soon be entering the transitional phase with a few of the players at the fag end of their careers. Rizbi grabbed the attention after his heroic performance in the inaugural edition of the UPT20, where he scored about two centuries to finish 455 runs in the tournament. 

GT Player - Shahrukh Khan 

Khan is a Tamil Nadu-based player who has been minting money in the last few seasons of the IPL but is yet to make an impact in the cash-rich league. However, GT (Gujarat Titans) had their trust in Shahrukh, so they made a bid of INR 7.4 crore in order to bolster their batting line-up after Hardik Pandya had left the franchise. Khan is expected to play a role as a finisher in the franchise along with another proven hitter David Miller. 

RCB Player - Yash Dayal

Dayal has been a left-arm paceman who has been at the receiving end of one of the best contests in the history of IPL in the 2023 edition. When the match happened against KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders), YD was given the opportunity to defend 28 runs in the final over, but Rinku Singh rose on the occasion and lit up the tournament. 

Things didn't go well for Dayal post the match as he was dropped from the XI in the tournament’s later stage. Gujarat had also released him from the squad before the auction happened where RCB had signed him for INR 5 crore as they tried to revamp their pace unit. 

GT Player - Robin Minz

GT (Gujarat Titans) had signed Minz for a massive INR 3.6 crore. This will be Minz’s first-class debut, but he had left an impression on many while playing age-group cricket for Jharkhand. In recent times, he had scored 137 runs in the U23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy quarter finale against Karnataka. However, he had recently got himself caught in a bike accident and it is yet to be known if there’s a delay in him joining the Titans’ pre-season camp ahead for the next season. 

DC Player - Kumar Kushagra 

The Delhi Capitals team had splashed out a big moolah - INR 7.2 crore on the wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Kushagra. The DC skipper Rishabh Pant has been given clearance by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) for the wicketkeeper batter role, but DC had decided to go behind Kushagra to get their backup plan right, which was an area of concern for them last season. 

The young batter grabbed the limelight in the year 2022 with a fine double century against Nagaland in the pre-quarterfinal of the Ranji Trophy. He knocked about 266 runs, which made him the youngest batter aged 17 to score 250 or more in a first-class innings.
