Under 19 World Cup: Australia In The Final After Six Years After Defeating Pakistan

The final match will be held between India and Australia for the third time. Earlier, India had defeated it in 2012 and 2018. Australia has won the final three times. At the same time, India has five titles in its account.

The final match of the Under-19 World Cup will be played on Sunday (February 11). The Indian team has already made it to the finals. It will face Australia in Benoni. Australia defeated Pakistan by one wicket in the second semi-final. He has reached the title match for the sixth time in total. Till now, Australia has been successful in winning the title thrice. The final match will be held between India and Australia for the third time. Earlier, India had defeated it in 2012 and 2018. India has a total of five titles in its account.

Earlier in the match, after winning the toss, the Australian team decided to bowl first. He bowled out Pakistan for 179 runs in 48.5 overs. Azaan Avesh and Arafat Minhas scored 52-52 runs for Pakistan. Apart from these two, only opener Shamyal Hussain could touch double figures. He was out after scoring 17 runs. Tom Starker took six wickets for Australia. In reply, Australia won the match by scoring 181 runs for nine wickets in 49.1 overs.

Ali Raza's Bowling Did Not Work For Pakistan

Regarding Australia, opener Harry Dixon scored the highest score of 50 runs. Oliver PK was unlucky. He could not score a half-century. Oliver was out after scoring 49 runs. 

Apart from these two, Tom Campbell scored 25 runs. Ali Raja took four wickets for 34 runs in 10 overs. Arafat Minhas had two successes. Naveed Ahmed Khan and Ubaid Shah also took one wicket each.

Won In The Last Over

Australia's seven wickets had fallen at 155 runs at one time. After the dismissal of Oliver PK, it seemed that the Kangaroo team would lose the match. From here, the lower-order batters showed courage. He faced Pakistan's bowling firmly. 

Tom Starker, along with Rafe McMillan, took the score to 164 runs. Starker was out after scoring three runs. Ali Raza caught him at the hands of wicketkeeper Saad Baig. Ali Raza bowled Mahil Beardman for zero in the 46th over itself.McMillan and Callum Vidler made an unbeaten partnership of 17 runs, leading the team to victory. McMillan remained unbeaten on 19 off 29 balls, and Vidler remained unbeaten on two runs off nine balls.
