UP Warriorz Won By 12 Runs: Georgia Voll’s 99*, RCB Eliminated

On 8 March, In the 18th match of WPL 2025 was played between UP Warriorz and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Ekana stadium in Lucknow. UP Warriorz beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 12 runs. After this loss RCB and UP Warriors both were eliminated from the race of WPL 2025 Playoffs.

Georgia Voll’s 99* Innings, help UP Warriorz to their first 200+ score

After loss the toss, UP warriors came for the batting first, UP Warriorz openers gave a powerful start to UP, they scored 67 for without wickets in powerplay. Georgia Voll, in her explosive innings, scored 99 not out with 56 balls, including 17(4) and a six. She missed her century but 99 not out is bigger than a century. Kiran Nagire’s power hitting innings in the middle overs. She scored 46 in just 16 balls with 280+ strike rate and made the partnership with Voll of 71 runs. Both outstanding innings helped UP Warriorz to score their first 200+ in WPL history. 225 in 20 overs. 

Deepti and Sophie 3-3 wickets, RCB all out under 213

Chasing a high score of 226, RCB lost both openers in the powerplay at 70. After both openers gone in powerplay. Deepti and Sophie both bowling attacks took 3-3 wickets both, RCB struggled in the middle overs. Perry scored 28 in 15 balls. Richa Gosh’sscore 69 in 33 balls and made the partnership of 64 runs with Wareham, helping RCB to cross 200 mark but at the end they lost by 12 runs short. 

Royal Challengers Bengaluru And UP Warriors Both officially Eliminated From The Race Of WPL 2025 Playoff Race

After this loss RCB now officially eliminated from the WPL 2025 after UP Warriorz who were eliminated on March 7 when Gujarat Giants beat Delhi Capitals.

Now it is officially confirmed that Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants qualify for the Playoffs of WPL 2025.
