Suryavanshi Smashes 2nd-Fastest T20 Century By An Indian

In India A's debut match in the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 against the United Arab Emirates, teen sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi continued to break records by scoring 144 off just 42 deliveries. 

With a century off just 32 balls, he was the second-fastest Indian player in men's Twenty20 cricket. Additionally, he had the fourth-highest score among Indians in the format.

He Is 2nd After Urvil Patel

In the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Urvil Patel of Gujarat and Abhishek Sharma of Punjab hit hundreds off 28 balls, while Rishabh Pant of Delhi scored a century off 32 balls in 2018.

Suryavanshi's century ranks joint fifth in speed

At the age of 14 years and 232 days, Suryavanshi also became the youngest player to score 100 runs for a senior national representative team. Mushfiqur Rahim of Bangladesh, who struck 111* for Bangladesh A versus Zimbabwe A in a first-class match in 2005 at the age of 16 years and 171 days, formerly held the record.

Suryavanshi's second T20 century

After his 35-ball performance for the Rajasthan Royals in the 2025 IPL, this was Suryavanshi's second T20 century. In T20s, he is the youngest man to reach 100. After Chris Gayle, who took 30 deliveries for his century against Pune Warriors in 2011, he became the second-fastest centurion in IPL history.
