Australia opener David Warner's baggy green cap has been received before the end of the last Test. Warner had lost his green cap in Sydney four days ago. He had requested for return. Warner's baggy green cap was found in the team hotel. However, no one knows how he reached there. Warner posted a video on Instagram on Friday morning informing him about getting the baggy green cap. While posting the video, he wrote – Thanks to the people involved in the search.
An Australian cricket team spokesperson said the bag in which he was packed was found in the team hotel. All the items were present inside it. Even from the CCTV footage it could not be known who had taken the bag and who kept it here.
The green bag was lost before the start of the third test.
The last match of the three-Test series between Pakistan and Australia is being played in Sydney from January 3. Before the start of the match, Warner had informed about losing his baggy green cap through an Instagram post. He had requested to return it. This is the last Test match of Warner's career. He has announced his retirement even before the match.
In a video uploaded on Instagram, Warner had said that his baggy green (Test cap) was stolen from his back pack. Warner had revealed that the backpack was placed inside a larger bag, which was flown from Melbourne to Sydney on December 31 along with the rest of the team's luggage. His belongings were stolen there.
Warner's retirement from Test-ODI
Australian batsman David Warner had announced his retirement from ODI along with Test on Monday, January 1. He will play the last Test match of his career against Pakistan in Sydney from January 3. Warner's retirement from ODI was also confirmed by Cricket Australia through its official account.
Warner became emotional in the press conference held in Sydney on Monday, January 1 and said that I am definitely retiring from ODI cricket also. This was something that I said during the ODI Cup. Winning the ODI World Cup in India is a big achievement.
Warner will focus on T-20
Warner has announced his retirement from ODI and Test to concentrate on T20. He can be a part of the Australia team in the T20 World Cup to be held in West Indies and America in June. At the same time, after the end of the Test series against Pakistan, he will play at least four matches for Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash. After this he can play for Dubai Capitals in ILT20. He has requested for NOC from Cricket Australia to play in the ILT20 league. The first match of Dubai team will be played on 21 January.
