Cricket West Indies is going to start a new T20 league. Five teams from different countries will participate in this tournament named Global Super League. It will be held in Guyana from 26 November to 7 December.

The tournament starting on the lines of Champions League will include Guyana Amazon Warriors (CPL), Lahore Qalandars (PSL), Hampshire Hawks (T20 Blast), Rangpur Riders (BPL) and Victoria (Australia State Team).

The first match will be played on 26 November between Caribbean Premier League team Guyana Amazon Warriors and Pakistan Super League team Lahore Qalandars.

The final will be between the top-2 teams

According to ESPN report, in the first season of this league, 5 teams will compete with each other i.e. teams will play 4-4 matches in the group stage. The final will be between the top-2 teams. In which a total of 11 matches will be played in 11 days in the tournament. The final match will be played on 7 December.

It is difficult for big players to play

The Global League is starting at a time when many countries are playing bilateral series in international cricket. Meanwhile, the season of T10 League is also to be played in Abu Dhabi from 21 November to 2 December.

In such a situation, many big names will not be seen playing for their respective teams in the first season of the Global Super League. This also includes West Indies players because the Windies team has to play a 2-match Test, 3-match ODI and an equal number of T20 series against Bangladesh at home from November 22.
