Provision for superover also exists

There is also a provision of Super Over for the knockout matches of the World Cup. If the super over also remains a tie then there will be another super over. The sequence of Super Overs will continue until the winner is found.

If it rains in the final, the trophy will be shared

In the semi-finals, if the match is not decided even on the reserve day, then the winner will be decided on the basis of points table. But this will not happen in the final. The final match will be played in Ahmedabad on 19th November, if it rains on that day then the match will be played on Reserve Day on 20th November. If the result is not achieved even on the reserve day, then the trophy will be shared between both the teams playing the final.
