Rohit said after the match, 'I don't think there was any lack of effort from our side. You must have seen that some players played reverse sweep and paddle sweep. It is not that we did not try from our side. These batsmen do not have such a nature.' The Indian team was all out for 138 runs while chasing a target of 249 runs in the third ODI.

Selection can be done according to the circumstances

Rohit said, 'When you play on such pitches, we have a clear vision about how we have to play and how to maintain the rhythm. We could not achieve the target in all three matches, even in the first match which was a tie.' He said, 'We have to tell the players what we want from them and if we have to select players according to the circumstances, then unfortunately we can do so. We will try to prepare a team that can perform well in all circumstances.'
