Shortest Test in terms of overs

This was the shortest Test match in history in terms of overs bowled, in which the result was obtained. South Africa batted 60.1 overs (36.5 and 23.2) in the Cape Town Test. While India batted 46.5 (34.5 and 12) overs. That means the match ended in 107 overs only.

Earlier, the record of shortest Test was made in 1932. Then the Test between South Africa and Australia in Melbourne lasted only 109.2 overs. 656 balls were bowled in this match, which was won by Australia by an innings and 72 runs. Whereas in the match between India and South Africa only 642 balls were bowled.

2 tests did not last even for 5 days

Not even 5 days of play took place in the 2-Test series between South Africa and India. The first Test lasted for 3 days, which South Africa won by an innings and 32 runs. While the second Test ended in just one day and two sessions, India won it by 7 wickets. That means even including both the matches, 5 days of play could not be completed.

210.3 overs were bowled in the first Test and 108 overs were bowled in the second. That means 2 test matches ended in 318.3 overs. 90 overs are bowled in one day of Test, if we look at it accordingly then only 3 and a half days of overs can be bowled in the Test series, because even in 4 days a total of 360 overs are bowled.
