WPL Auction - 19 players sold for ₹9.05 crore

The mini auction for Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 lasted for about two and a half hours in Bengaluru on Sunday. 5 teams bought 19 players by spending Rs 9.05 crore, out of which 4 became crorepatis. Rs 2.70 crore was spent on 5 foreign players. Simran Sheikh was the most expensive player, she was bought by Gujarat for Rs 1.90 crore.

Uncapped wicketkeeper-batsman G Kamalini surprised everyone, she was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 1.60 crore by paying 16 times more than the base price. West Indies' Deandra Dottin was the most expensive foreign player, she was bought by Gujarat for Rs 1.90 crore. Big players like Sneh Rana, Heather Knight and Lauren Bell remained unsold.

7 players sold in the final round

7 players sold in the final round. Australia's leg spinner Elana King was bought by UP Warriors for Rs 30 lakhs. Danielle Gibson was bought by Gujarat for Rs 30 lakhs. Ankita Maheshwari was bought by Mumbai for Rs 20 lakhs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore bought Jagravi Pawar and Raghavi Bisht. Nikki Prasad was included by Delhi Capitals and Prakashika Nayak was included by Gujarat, all four players were sold for Rs 10 lakhs each. Sneha Rana and Lauren Bell remained unsold in the last round as well.

5 players sold at base price

In the second round, 5 players were sold at base price. Sarah Bryce was bought by Delhi, Sanskriti Gupta by Mumbai, Joshitha VJ was bought by Bangalore for Rs 10 lakhs each. UP Warriors included Arushi Goyal and Kranti Gaud at base price of Rs 10 lakhs.
