Yuzvendra Chahal will play in County Championship and ODI Cup

Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal will tour England for County Championship and ODI Cup after IPL. He will play for Northamptonshire. The team has confirmed this.
In a post on Thursday (13 March 2025) by the English club, it was told that Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal will be a part of the Northamptonshire team from June till the end of the season. His first match is expected to be against Middlesex on 22 June.
Chahal took 19 wickets last year
Chahal has played for Northamptonshire last season. He played an important role in taking the team to the fourth position. During the tournament, he took 19 wickets in four matches at an average of 21.10. During this, his best bowling figure was 9 wickets for 99 runs.
Yuzvendra Chahal is out of Team India
Yuzvendra Chahal is currently out of Team India. He was part of the team that won the T20 World Cup 2024, but did not get a chance to play a single match. He played his last ODI for India in January 2023 and his last T20 in August 2023. Even after this, Punjab Kings bought him for 18 crores in the IPL 2025 auction.
At the same time, in the 72 ODIs played so far, he has taken 121 wickets at an economy of 5.27 and in 80 T20 matches, he has taken 96 wickets at an economy of 8.19.
Chahal is happy to join the team again
Yuzvendra Chahal is also very happy to join the Northamptonshire team again. He said that I enjoyed my whole time here last season. There are some great people in the dressing room there and I am very happy to be a part of it again.
