Earlier, India B won the toss against India C and chose to bowl first. India C scored 525 runs in the first innings. Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan scored a century for the team. He scored 111 runs off 126 balls. Apart from him, Manav Suthar scored 82, Baba Indrajit scored 78 and Rituraj Gaikwad scored 58 runs.

New format of Duleep Trophy

The Duleep Trophy is being played in a new format from this season. It used to be held in zonal format earlier. Now the top players of domestic cricket have been divided into four teams. The tournament will be played in round-robin format without any knockout match. The team with the most points at the end of the round-robin matches will be the champion.
