Angelo Mathews, a veteran cricketer from Sri Lanka, has declared his retirement from Test cricket. He made his final appearance on June 17, 2025, in Galle, against Bangladesh. The decision brings an end to a remarkable 17-year career in the game's longest format.

Will he be available for white ball cricket?

Mathews confirmed that he is available for white-ball formats despite moving away from Test cricket, saying he is still available "if and when my country needs me."
