On the bowling side, Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed took 2 wickets each, Aomrazai took 1 wicket.

G Nabi and M Nabi scored 16 and 15 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai scored 30 runs, a massive inning with a strike rate of 180+, giving some hope to Afghanistan after 4 4-wicket losses. In the end, Rashid Khan and N Ahmed gave cameo roles with a strike rate of 180+, but Afghanistan lost by just 8 runs

After this win, Bangladesh has to play all 3 group league matches. They pay 3 matches, with 2 wins and 1 loss. Their net run rate is -0.270, and they still have a chance to qualify for the Super 4 stage. 

On the other side, this loss of Afghanistan was not as hurt for them due to a better run rate than Bangladesh. Afghanistan has the remaining group matches against Sri Lanka on 18 September.
