PAK T20 Tri-Series 2025: Muzarabani Out Of Pakistan Tri-Series
Updated - 11-NOV-2025 7:11 IST

Zimbabwe confirmed that the pace leader, Blessing Muzarabani, will not play in the upcoming T20I tri-series in Pakistan due to a back injury. The series will include the national cricket teams of Sri Lanka and the hosts, Pakistan.
Muzarabani has been important for his pace and bounce, so his absence is a big blow to Zimbabwe's bowling attack.
Who Will Replace Him?
Newman Nyamhuri, a promising left-arm seamer, has been selected by Zimbabwe Cricket to take his spot. Nyamhuri has not yet played in a Twenty20 International.
Since making his debut in December 2024, 19-year-old Nyamhuri has represented Zimbabwe in Tests and ODIs; yet, this will be his first appearance in T20Is.
Pakistan T20 Tri-Series starts from 17 November
On November 17, Zimbabwe will play Pakistan at Rawalpindi to begin the tri-series. On November 19, Sri Lanka will play at the same location. The final and the remaining round-robin games will take place in Lahore.
This injury setback is crucial for Zimbabwe as they prepare for the next T20 World Cup. Nyamhuri will have a chance to step up, but a significant one, because Muzarabani's experience on the subcontinent surfaces is valuable.
