Matheesha Pathirana will not play in the Pakistan And T20I Tri-Series

Sri Lanka’s bowler Matheesha Pathirana rules from the next white-ball tour of Pakistan, which consists of a three-match ODI series and a subsequent T20I tri-series with the Zimbabwe national cricket team.

What’s the situation

The teams for the tour of Pakistan, which will begin with the ODIs on November 11 and the T20I tri-series on November 17, were revealed by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).

Due to an upper respiratory tract infection (URTI), Pathirana has been excluded from the T20I team and, consequently, the tour. Asitha Fernando has taken his position in the squad.

Sri Lanka suffers from Pathirana's absence, particularly considering his growing prominence in the limited-overs formats. One of their strike pace bowlers, he is renowned for his distinctive motion and capacity to bowl quickly in the Twenty20 game. His absence from this tour implies:
