Ebadot Hossain Back In The Bangladesh Test Squad, After 2 Years

After a two-year absence due to a long recovery from a serious knee injury, Bangladesh fast bowler Ebadot Hossain is set to return to the national Test team for the home Test series. Bangladesh tour of Sri Lanka in June- July 2025 for 2 Test, 3 ODI, and 3 T20I, the tour begins with a 1st Test from June 17-21 in Galle.

What Happened to Him?

During an ODI match against Afghanistan in July 2023, Ebadot injured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), requiring surgery and keeping him out of the 2023 Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup, among other important competitions.

Ebadot has been improving and gradually upping his game on his bowling in recent months. He has stated that he wants to play Test cricket again and hopes to be selected for the upcoming series against India.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has been keeping a careful eye on his development. Ebadot is hopeful about his recovery and plans to play in practice matches to assess his preparedness for the longer format, even though he is not yet bowling at his best.
