KL Rahul superbly anchored the innings for India, scoring a composed century of 100 runs from 177 balls. He became only the second Indian, after Vengsarkar, to achieve multiple Test hundreds at Lord’s.

Rishabh Pant scored a smooth 74, and Ravindra Jadeja added a significant 72. Their alliances—141 for the second wicket and additional backing in the middle order—ensured India remained in contention

England inch ahead in the 2nd innings

England made a start in their second innings and got through the last over of Day 3 unscathed. At stumps, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett were 2 runs without loss*, providing England with a narrow lead

In the closing moments, following Crawley’s time-wasting stoppage, skipper Shubman Gill had a heated interaction with him. Gill could be heard yelling, “Show some fu*g b**s!” at the batsman leaving the field.
