Former Indian cricketer Vikram Rathore becomes Rajasthan batting coach

Vikram Rathore has also worked with Kings Punjab before Rajasthan.
Former Indian team batting coach Vikram Rathore has been appointed as the batting coach by IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals. The IPL franchise said in its official statement that the 55-year-old former Indian opener will be their batting coach.
Vikram Rathore, who has played 6 Tests and 7 ODIs for India, told Rajasthan Royals, "It is a privilege to be a part of the Royals family. Once again I have got a chance to work with Rahul and now with young cricketers. I will help in the vision of the team and in creating top class players for the Royals, which will be helpful in making the team an IPL winner."
He understands Indian conditions: Rahul
On Rathore joining the team, head coach Rahul Dravid said, "After working closely with Vikram for many years, I can say with confidence that his calm demeanor and understanding of Indian conditions make him the best for the Royals. Together, we have built a good bond, which brought success to India and I feel good to be associated with him again.
Became India's batting coach in 2019
Before becoming India's batting coach in 2019, Rathore also worked as a national selector for four years. He also coached Punjab and Himachal Pradesh in domestic cricket and has also worked with Punjab Kings before Rajasthan in the IPL.
Joined the Kiwi team for Noida Test
Recently, former Team India batting coach Vikram Rathore was included in the coaching staff of New Zealand. The New Zealand Cricket Board informed about this, keeping in view the local conditions, 55-year-old former Indian opener Rathore has been added to the team. Apart from him, former Sri Lankan spinner Rangana Herath has been made the spin bowling coach.
Rahul Dravid was made the head coach a few days ago
Team India's former head coach Rahul Dravid was made the head coach of IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals a few days ago. Rajasthan Royals said on social media - "Former Royals captain and coach Dravid was with the team for five seasons from 2011 to 2015. He will join the team immediately and work with Kumar Sangakkara."
Ponting becomes coach of Punjab Kings
Punjab Kings (PBKS) have appointed former Australian captain Ricky Ponting as the head coach of their team for the IPL 2025 season. Earlier, he was the coach of Delhi Capitals (DC) for the last seven years and parted ways just two months ago. According to the report, Ponting has signed a contract with PBKS for more than a year and now he will take care of other members of his coaching staff.
