IPL 2025: Ajinkya Rahane Named New Captain Of KKR

Indian Premier Leagues 2025 will start from March 22 to May 25. Indian batmen‘s Ajinkya Rahane has been named captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a major announcement ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. After the departure of former captain Shreyas Iyer, who took leadership of the Punjab Kings, this decision was made.

Rahane's Leadership 

Rahane, who is 36, offers the KKR camp an infinite amount of knowledge. In a lack of regular captain Virat Kohli, he led India to a historic series victory during the 2020–21 Test series in Australia, showing his leadership abilities. This success showed his tactical knowledge and ability to develop trust in others.
