On 9 May, The BCCI official announced the IPL 2025 has been suspended due to rising military hostilities between Pakistan and India. Fears about national emotion and player safety drove. BCCI has mentioned how many days it is suspended. Now The BCCI has announced the IPL will be for a week.

When Will It Resume?

The IPL 2025 is already 58 games old, including the PBKS vs DC match Dharamsala abandonment. After the last 12 group stage games, the playoffs will take place. Given that India's five-Test series in England begins on June 20, the IPL may not be able to restart until September, when India would not have any bilateral series scheduled, but it will be the men's Asia Cup window.

Overseas players stay or go back to their country?

If the league starts in a week, there is still significant doubt as to whether foreign players—many of whom are already leaving or are scheduled to leave shortly—will return. The BCCI, however, believes that the teams should handle this.
