IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians’s Star Player, Got Legal Notice By PCB
Updated - 17-MAR-2025 10:13 IST

The Indian Premier League (IPL) and Pakistan Super League (PSL) contracts of South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch have recently been at the heart of a contract dispute.
PSL Contract With Peshawar Zalmi
During the PSL 2025 draft in January 2025, Peshawar Zalmi chose Bosch in the Diamond category. The IPL season will coincide with the PSL 10th edition, which is scheduled to run from April 11 to May 18, 2025.
IPL Engagement With Mumbai Indians
Bosch was then named by the Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 8, 2025, as a replacement for Lizaad Williams, who was injured, for the forthcoming IPL season, which will take place from March 22 to May 25, 2025. This development suggests that because of the conflicting schedules, Bosch would not be able to attend the PSL.
PCB's Legal Notice
Through his representative, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) slapped Bosch with a legal letter charging him of violating his contractual commitments to the PSL by choosing the IPL over the PSL. The PCB has asked Bosch to provide an explanation for his decision to back out of his PSL responsibilities, and it expects to hear back from him in a certain amount of time.
Implications of the Overlapping Schedules
It shows the difficulties that players face when the schedules of big T20 leagues, such as the PSL and IPL, match up. Players who have contracts with several leagues have to handle these disputes, which frequently result in legal and professional problems.
Bosch has not yet publicly answered the PCB's legal notice. The resolution of the issue may establish a standard for handling similar situations in the future, particularly if the international cricket calendar gets larger
