G11-Fantasy Cricket Prediction for Today's Match

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) find the Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant ₹30 lakh for playing at a slow over-rate in their final IPL 2025 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Tuesday at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. RCB beat LSG by 6 wickets and qualified for Qualifier 1 and they played  against PBKS in Chandigarh on May 29

Why Is He Getting Fined?

Pant is guilty of three over-rate offenses this season, including this penalty. He was fined ₹12 lakh for his first offense against the Chennai Super Kings and ₹24 lakh for his second offense against the Kolkata Knight Riders earlier in the competition.

Every player in the starting lineup, including the designated Impact Player, has been fined ₹12 lakh or 50% of their match fees, whichever is less, in addition to Pant's penalty.

BCCI slow over rate rule

In order to ensure speedy match processes in professional cricket, the BCCI strictly enforces its over-rate laws. More serious sanctions, such as match suspensions, may result from repeated violations.

This is this time Pant’s break slow over rate rule

When Pant was captain of the Delhi Capitals, he committed over-rate offenses. This most recent infraction shows that the problem has not been resolved by his recent appointment as LSG captain.

As of right now, the BCCI has not disclosed any additional disciplinary measures. But if infractions persist, Pant and his squad may face harsher penalties in subsequent games.
