Jasprit Bumrah had returned home from the Asia Cup to be with his wife as the couple became parents to a baby boy on Monday.

India cricketer Jasprit Bumrah and his wife Sanjana Ganesan became parents to a baby boy on Monday. India pacer Bumrah left the Asia Cup 2023 ahead of his team's Group A match against Nepal due to 'personal reasons' to take care of their first child, whom the couple has named Angad. Bumrah shared the post on Instagram with an adorable caption and also shared a beautiful picture of the trio holding each other's hands.

“We are over the moon” Bumrah wrote on his Instagram

"Our little family has grown & our hearts are fuller than we could ever imagine! This morning we welcomed our little boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah into the world. We are over the moon and can't wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it," Bumrah wrote on his Instagram.

Famous television broadcasters, Bumrah and Sanjana got married in March 2021. Their union was a secret affair, with a private ceremony held in the picturesque setting of Goa. Unlike some of their fellow celebrities like Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma or Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic, the couple tactfully hides their romantic relationship. Very few outside Bumrah and Sanjana's inner circle knew about the love story that was quietly brewing between the two.

Speculation about their relationship initially started when Bumrah was released from the team ahead of the fourth Test match between India and England in Ahmedabad. A few days later their wedding pictures surfaced on the internet and went viral. Unfortunately, Bumrah's teammates were unable to participate in the festivities due to strict bio-bubble restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

After marriage, this couple has shared pictures together many times. Sanjana had also interviewed Bumrah during India's tour of England last year. However, the two have since disappeared from the public eye. Bumrah suffered a setback with a stress fracture in his back, ruling him out of competitive cricket for a whole year. Meanwhile, Sanjana has also mysteriously gone missing from her broadcasting duties. She faced public trolling when she posted pictures from her vacation on social media, but whenever trolls unfairly targeted Sanjana for Bumrah's absence, she gave a befitting reply.
