On August 8, 1990, Kane Stuart Williamson was born in Tauranga, New Zealand. Growing up in a sports-loving family, Kane was drawn to athletics from a young age. Kane and his siblings were all encouraged to participate in sports, and his mother was a gifted basketball player, and his father played club cricket.

At the age of 17, Williamson made his debut with Northern Districts in 2007, and he has stayed with them throughout his domestic career in New Zealand. On September 19, 2014, he made his first T20 century, scoring 101* in 49 balls to lead Northern Districts to a decisive victory over Cape Cobras in the Champions League Twenty20 2014.
International Carrer
In 2010, Williamson made his ODI debut against India. Shortly after, he made his Test cricket debut against the same team. He became the eighth batsman from New Zealand to achieve a century on his Test debut with a brilliant 131. He made his debut on the global scene with this innings.
Williamson developed into the mainstay of New Zealand's batting lineup over time. He stands out for his perfect technique, tough attitude, and capacity to score under any situation. Williamson was the season's top scorer with 735 runs, and Sunrisers Hyderabad finished second under his leadership.
In the middle of the 2021 Indian Premier League, Kane succeeded David Warner as captain. The team kept him on as captain for the 2022 season, but he only managed one half-century.
