Kyle Jamieson Replace Ferguson In New Zealand CT’25 Squad

On 18 February, New Zealand fast bowler Kyle Jamieson was added to the New Zealand main Squad for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. Kyle Jamieson has replaced one of the top bowlers of New Zealand Lockie Ferguson, who is ruled out due to a hamstring injury. Opening Match of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is between Pakistan vs New Zealand in Karachi on 19 February.

Lockie Ferguson Ruled Out From Champions Trophy 2025

Lockei Ferguson, who was ruled out from ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to hamstring injury. He left the field in 1 week of February, during one match of Pakistan Tri-Series in Lahore.he did not play the remaining 2 matches of Tri-Series including Tri-Series Final. 

Ferguson is the second fast bowler of New Zealand, who got ruled out from Champions Trophy. First is Bean Sears who also injured his hamstring.

New Zealand coach Gary Stead statement on replacement of Lockie. He said  “Lockie is a key part of the bowling group and brings a lot of major tournament experience. We know how much he was looking forward to representing New Zealand at another major event,"

Kyle Jamieson, 30 age New Zealand bowler who will replace Lockie Ferguson in Champions Trophy 2025. He has not played since September 2023 due to back injury, he came back after 10 months. 

In Super Smash T20, he had an outstanding performance. He took 14 wickets with an economy of 5.95.
